Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to hotel. Check in at hotel
and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 02
Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast at hotel and embark on a City tour of Ho Chi Minh City,
still called Saigon by many locals.Takes in the former Presidential
Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post office, a
lacquerware factory and Thien Hau Pagoda in the city’s bustling
Chinatown. Afternoon, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible
underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance
fighters during the long struggle for independence. Overnight in Ho
Chi Minh City. (B)
Day 03
Ho Chi Minh City – Danang – Hoi An – Hue
After Breakfast, transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for a short flight
to the central port city of Danang. On arrival in Danang, proceed to
Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries
whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the
years. Visit the ancient town center to visit the former merchants’
home, the 400 year old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful
market. Early afternoon depart Hoi An for Hue, the former imperial
capital of Vietnam. The scenic route passes through Danang before
climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds and dropping down to the
photogenic fishing village of Lang Co. Late Afternoon arrive in Hue
and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue. (B)
Day 04
Hue
Breakfast at hotel. Embark on a boat trip on the romantically named
Perfume River visiting Hue’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu
Pagoda and the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil
setting of gardens and lakes. In the afternoon visit the elaborate
mausoleums of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel
from where the Nguyen Dynastry ruled between 1802 and 1945.

Day 05
Hue – Hanoi – Halong
After Breakfast, transfer to Hue Airport for flight to Hanoi,the
modern day capital of Vietnam. Arrive in Hanoi and transfer by road
to Halong. Overnight in Halong. (B)
Day 06
Halong – Hanoi
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast embark on a cruise on the
emerald green waters of Halong Bay in a private junk, among the 3000
spectacular limestone islands.The cruise ends with a fresh seafood
lunch on board. Return to Hanoi by road in the afternoon. Overnight
in Hanoi. (B,L)
Day 07
Hanoi
After Breakfast at hotel, embark on a full day city tour of
Vietnam’s capital. Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined
boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and
oriental temples. The city tour includes such sights as Ho Chi
Minh’s Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum and
the Temple of Literature. After lunch in town, continue to the
Museum of Ethnology and late afternoon visit the Lake of the
Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. Evening enjoy a traditional
Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi. (B)
Day 08
Depart Hanoi
Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast transfer to Noi Bai Airport for
onward / return flight. (B)
