Day
01 – Arrival Delhi
Welcome on arrival at New Delhi Airport. After meet and
assist services at the airport, transfer to hotel. Overnight
stay at hotel in Delhi.
Day 02 – Delhi – Agra
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed on a city tour of Delhi visiting
the Lotus Temple (Closed on Monday)- the place of faith that
all visitors must see the Bahai Temple, a beautiful Marble
building in the form of a blossoming lotus, surrounded by
acres of beautiful gardens; India Gate – at the centre of
the city (42 mtr high stone arch) is a memorial raised in
honor of the Indian Soldiers who fought and died in the
campaigns of World War and the Afghan War: President House
built in 1929, once the Imperial Residence of the British
Viceroys and now the official residence of the President of
Indian Republic: Parliament House – this circular shaped
building houses the two houses of parliament – The Lok Sabha
(lower) and the Rajya Sabha(upper).Its domed central hall is
90 feet in diameter: Rajghat, the place where the Father of
the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Afternoon drive to
Agra (approximately 210kms, 4:30 hrs) on arrival check – in
at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 – Agra to Jaipur
After breakfast proceed on a sightseeing tour of Agra City.
First visiting one of the worlds’s most beautiful monuments
“Taj Mahal” (closed on Friday) built by Mughal Emperor Shah
Jehan for his empress Mumtaz Mahal. The construction
believed to have taken 22 years to complete with over 20,000
craftsmen working round the clock. After sightseeing of Taj
mahal visit the magnificent Agra Fort, built on the banks of
the Yamuna river is situated in the centre of the town.
Various styles architecture are evident within the Fort and
demonstrate the love of Mughal Emperors towards building
beautiful monuments. Afternoon drive to Jaipur
(approximately 235 kms, 5:30 hrs journey time) en–route
visit Fatehpur Sikri – 37 kms from Agra, the deserted city
of sandstone built by the Emperor Akbar. The city is
rectangular in shape surrounded by nine huge gates and
palaces, meeting halls (public / private audiences) and huge
courtyards. After sightseeing, drive to Jaipur. Arrive in
Jaipur and check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 –At Jaipur
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed on a sightseeing tour visiting
“Hawa Mahal” (Palace of the wind) a beautiful pink building
with many small windows from where the royal ladies watched
the annual procession of dynasty.Thereafer sightseeing tour
of – Amer Fort – 11 kms from Jaipur is Amer. The ancient
capital of Jaipur state. Construction of the fort – palace
began in 1652 by Raja Mandingh and it was later extended and
completed by the Jaisingh before they moved to Jaipur. Climb
to the top of the hill on Elephant back. (If Elephant ride
is not possible then we will use the other option – Jeep
Ride). Afternoon visit the City Palace the principle
residence of the former ruling family known for its stunning
architecture. They also house Museums, Courtyards, and
Garderns.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur to Delhi
After Breakfast drive to Delhi (260km 06 hrs). On arrival in
Delhi transfer to a local restaurant for lunch. Afternoon
visit the RED Fort (closed on Monday) at Delhi. Evening
transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.
Day 06 – Departure
Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure for your own activities.
Evening transfer to airport for return flight to Colombo.
